Due to COVID-19, the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents temporarily suspended its policy of requiring applicants to submit ACT or SAT scores as part of their application. The SSTAR Lab is partnering with the University of Wisconsin System to evaluate the role test scores play in college access and student success across the state. We are also conducting an in-depth study of UW-Madison, where we are evaluating the implementation and impacts of this change over the next three years. Our project began in the fall of 2020 and we will provide formative and summative evaluation results to help bring evidence and new insights to bear on this important policy change.
